There are many lovely places in Italy with delicious foods and wonderful views. I have yet to find a restaurant with views like there is at La Madonnina, located near Lecco, Italy.
It is about a 20 minute drive from my in-laws’ house. The kids are always excited to go there to see the cows and horses that roam freely around. There is also a playground outside for them. When we pulled up around the corner there was a cow returning home from grazing along the mountain road. I would fly to Italy just to eat their polenta uncia. It is polenta made with butter, Parmigiano Reggiano, and gorgonzola. It is topped with melted Fontina cheese. La Madoninna is where people go for weddings, baptisms, birthdays, and any other special occasion. The views are breathtaking. While waiting for the meat course, I stepped outside in the cold air and got a little carried away taking photos of the sunset; some I took with instagram and some with my camera. I always loved my friend Brian’s Silent Sunday series. I thought it would be fun to take a few Sundays and share some photos from Italy.
I adore you all.
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy your Sunday. xo

Cake Duchess is where you can follow the baking adventures of me! Hi! I'm Lora, a mom of two cuties in South Florida. I got into all this baking mess because of them.
