One of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to in Italy is Bellagio. Bellagio is also know as the pearl of Lake Como. There aren’t many ways to arrive there. Actually, I’ve only been there arriving from Como.
I heard there is another way to get there and that is via the city of Lecco. I also heard that both ways of arriving to Bellagio are the same…long and very windy roads around the mountains. If you suffer from car sickness, it may not be the trip for you. The roads have never been updated to adjust to all the modern and wide cars and trucks. Sometimes you pass the car coming in the opposite direction and there is a hair of space between you and you look over the cliff onto the lake and pray you make it safely to this magnificent city. Hope you like the photos and are enjoying the rest of your weekend. Thanks for your support and lovely comments.

Cake Duchess is where you can follow the baking adventures of me! Hi! I'm Lora, a mom of two cuties in South Florida. I got into all this baking mess because of them.

Italy is so beautiful! It’s been a while since I was last there, but I haven’t forgotten those scary rides along the coast of Amalfi. Thanks for sharing those breath-taking photos!
I love them all but the photo with the pots of flowers on the stairs looks like a painting…it’s just perfect. I want to go next time. PUH LEASE???
So beautiful, Lora! When I went to Lake Como I didn’t get to Bellagio – I guess that just means it’s time for another trip
.
What a gorgeous post, Lora! Thank you for taking us on this journey with you!
Absolutely stunning photo tour of Bellegio. Im with Barb…I love them all, but I want a framed print of the photo with the pots of flowers on the stairs, in one of my rooms!
Bellagio (and the rest of the Lake Como area) is so amazing! I miss the days when my husband did a lot of business in Europe and my teaching schedule allowed me to tag along! He actually tried to get investors to finance a project to restore the vacant hotel at the top of the old funicular in Como. At the time it was owned by a religious group that wanted a greatly inflated price, so it didn’t happen. Thanks for the beautiful pictorial tour!
Bellagio is incredible! I was so happy I decided to take a day trip there. It was worth everything!!
Thank you for the photo journal!! I don’t think I can get enough of Italy…
