Assaggiate le albicocche. Sono dolcissime. Taste the apricots. They are very sweet. And I did. I stood there in the light drizzle on a chilly summer afternoon tasting sweet apricots. The juice was dripping down my chin as I juggled my camera in my other hand. I wasn’t ready to taste a sample just yet.
Trying to stay dry and at the same time capture this delicious array of fruit strewn out on display in front of me. There was my friend beckoning me to try another one. I’m the German reporter every time he sees me. “Fa una foto di me?” Will you take my photo?
Of course I’ll take your photo and I will take a few more samples of your apricots as sweet as honey. “Grazie!” he told me when I finished the photos. He offered me a few more apricots to take to the kids waiting with their nonno around the corner. “Ci vediamo la settimana prossima.” Yes, see you next week.

That’s a glance of the produce market at my mother-in-law’s town in Italy. Doesn’t it make you hungry?;)
Thank you for stopping by today to say hello!:) I will be back soon with some more photos.

Cake Duchess is where you can follow the baking adventures of me! Hi! I'm Lora, a mom of two cuties in South Florida. I got into all this baking mess because of them.

Lora, I remember these lovely produce markets when I was there three years ago…remember? You guys sent me there all by myself; I sure had a quick crash course in the Italian language. I enjoyed every minute of my stay there with your sweet in-laws. Sure miss those wonderful markets, and the amazing bakeries!
xoxo

Nothing like an open air market…especially if you are walking through and sampling from one in Italy! Enjoy your visit
P.S. Say hello to your lovely Nonna for all of us, be sure to tell her how much we enjoy your posts when she and/or her baking are featured.
